The Bomb #1

In the beginning of 2010 Yelena was invited to participate in the Concept Show at Oxford Fashion Week. She prepared the Terror Loop collection and sent it to England in a box. Due to a misunderstanding her collection turned up in an office in London, where it stayed for several months instead of participating in the fashion show. This bizar twist of fate located Yelena's collection in a box, like a bomb. She felt like a terrorist having her collection in a box somewhere in the background of an office while no one knew what was waiting inside…
In this performance Yelena unpacks the box with clothes and models them in front of the public. Inspired by the suicide bomber, Yelena changes clothes ceveral times during the performance and models her Terror Loop collection. The public does not expect the confrontation with the artist. Although it presumes to be a fashion show, the underlying attempt is to make the public aware of their vulnerability.
